Education: Dordt University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a K-8 special education endorsement

“If a child can't learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.” – Ignacio Estrada. This is one of my favorite education quotes, and my teaching style in the resource room centers around this belief. I meet with students in small groups and individually to support their academic needs in phonics, reading, writing, and math. I strive to create a responsive and positive learning environment, where the gifts of each student are uniquely valued. Helping students overcome challenges and seeing them succeed in their own way brings me joy every day in my classroom!
