Iowa 529 Savings Plan Information

Hull Christian School offers 504 Plans, as laid out by the state of Iowa. A 504 plan is a formal plan used for students who have a diagnosed disability or medical need. A disability or medical need is determined via an educational evaluation or physician’s visit. HCS offers evaluation services through All Belong and the Northwest AEA.

Once a student qualifies for a plan, the resource teacher will communicate with school staff, medical professionals, parents, All Belong, and the Northwest AEA to create a 504 Plan that will meet the medical, social, and academic needs of the child. The 504 Plan will outline interventions, modifications, and accommodations a student needs to access the general education curriculum. A 504 Plan follows a child through grade school and beyond. School staff and parents meet annually to review the plan. The plan serves as a common and ongoing document between teachers and grade levels to ensure a student’s needs are being met continuously.
