Education: BSW from Dordt University & MS Ed from Buena Vista University

I believe that every student has strengths and challenges that help them be exactly who God created them to be. A strengths-based approach focuses on those strengths because the things we pay attention to will grow. When we focus on worries, worries grow. When we focus on challenges, they seem insurmountable. When we focus on what is going well, we can grow more and use it in other areas that are getting in the way of a student enjoying and being successful at school. My desire is to help foster hope in students—hope that a different future is possible.
