Education: Dordt with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood endorsement.

My teaching style is to model excitement and purpose about what they are learning. I do this by getting creative with actions, songs, or activities wherever possible. I love finding the students’ God-given interests, and helping them see how the lesson could help them now or in their future. When students are excited, learning, AND seeing how God is in everything, equipping them for their bright future that He has for them, I feel like I am doing my part as a teacher and it is very fulfilling.

My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
