Mrs. Van Maanen is in her 4th year of teaching at Hull Christian School. She is responsible for teaching K-8 music, 7-8 choir, 6-8 band, 5th grade band, jazz band and band lessons.  She graduated from Dordt College in 2007 with a BA in Instrumental Music Education.  Mrs. Van Maanen and her husband Phil have daughter (Ava) who is one year old.
