Silver Tea
The Silver Tea music program will be held in the HCS gym on Friday, May 9 at 1:30. All parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to attend!
Following the afternoon performance, the audience will be treated to a Silver Tea “lunch” in the gym. The students will enjoy a treat in their classroom and then will go outside for recess for the remainder of the afternoon. You are welcome to take your kindergartner home with you following the program. Their bags will be all ready to go in their classrooms. I’ll be outside with the students. Just let me know if you are taking your child home.
Field Trip
On Friday, May16, the kindergarten and 1st grade classes will be loading a bus to take their end-of-the-year field trip. Our first stop will be Wells Blue Bunny in Le Mars. After our tour we will be going to a park for lunch. Marilyn and Betty, our school cooks, will be packing our sack lunches. After that we will visit the Van Grouw Dairy Farm.
Addresses
The kindergartners are learning their addresses. The students have their decorated houses (with their addresses) hanging up in our classroom. When they say their address to me, they may attach their mouse to their house and receive a treat. When reciting their addresses, the students need to say their house number, street, city, state, and zip code.
